A Border Patrol MD600 helicopter suffers a hard landing at Gillespie Field in El Cajon Ca. The helicopter was being operated by a factory CFI and the training was being filmed by BP pilots on the ground due to concerns that the MD600 has less than desirable autorotational capabilities. No one was injured. Also, this is an outstanding CFI, extremely knowledgable about MD helicopters, and very experienced. Makes you wander about the 600.
